“Dr. Gula is the first dentist I felt comfortable and safe in her hands! Thanks for being gentle and patient doc!”
“After years of going through dentists I either didn’t feel comfortable with, or didn’t take my insurance, I’m glad I’m able to settle down on one. Dr. Gula and her staff have been nothing but the best to me, and my crazy aversions to dental procedures. Obviously a dentist’s office isn’t a place I want to keep going back to, but when I do, I’m glad its them.”
“My husband went here last weekend and said “you have got to write a review.” 🙂 He said this is the best dentist he has every been to. Quick, professional, well priced and friendly.”
“I was referred to Dr. Gula by a friend. Her staff was very nice and she was a dream. As a child I feared the dentist. She put my fears at ease.”

“A great experience on the first visit and the work done was professional, careful and memorable. Who would have thought a dental visit would be “fun”? It was! So much so, that I had my Mom and Dad setup an appointment before I left. Thank You!”
“They were awesome with the care for me and my son. My 4 year old had a blast at the dentist. Thank you!!!”
“All staff is very nice and professional. I like the new technology and refreshed look of the office.”
“I had an AMAZING experience at this office! The staff were top notch, and they really cared about getting me out of pain and helping me. I felt like a part of the family! The office manager Vanessa helped me with my financing and Dr. Gula was so compassionate and informative! Definitely going back and taking the whole family.”
“One of the best dental places in Chicagoland area. They have a friendly staff, incredibly knowledgeable dentists, flexible hours. Everyone working here was very helpful and gave me all the help I needed for my first visit. I Loved my dentist. Dr. Gula was much more attentive that the places I have been before.”

We are happy to offer periodontics to our patients by means of Dr. Nares. He is a diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology and a member of the American Dental Association and the International and American Associations for Dental Research. Some of the periodontal services her provides include:
- Dental Crown Lengthening: This is a common surgical procedure. The surgeon removes gum tissue, bone or both to expose more of a tooth. Crown lengthening is done when a tooth needs to be fixed. Sometimes, not enough of the tooth sticks out above the gum to support a filling or crown. This procedure is performed by our periodontist, and can provide a foundation for us to restore your healthy smile!
- Implant Placement: After your dentist and a periodontist have determined that an implant is recommended, Dental Implant procedures are usually completed in 3 steps.
- First, the root replacement (a titanium post) is surgically placed into the jaw bone. The implant will gradually fuse with your jawbone, forming a strong base for the replacement tooth.
- After the post and the jawbone have had time to grow together, the abutment attachment will be connected to the post. This attachment is what allows for placement of the dental crown.
- Third, after the bone and gum tissue have healed from the abutment placement, the tooth replacement can be attached. This may be a crown, a bridge, or a full denture.
- Bone Grafting: This is used for Ridge Preservation, Ridge Augmentation and Sinus Grafting.
- Ridge Preservation applies when you need to have a tooth extracted, bone grafting will be used to maintain as much of the jaw bone as possible after the extraction.
- Bone Grafting in Ridge Augmentation is used to prepare your jaw bone for dental implants.
- Sinus Grafting helps to restore bone above the roots of the upper molars and premolars that was lost due to periodontal disease or tooth loss. Sinus Grafting may be necessary to place implants.
- Osseous Gum Surgery: This is a pocket-reduction surgery that can provide relief from periodontal disease symptoms (e.g. swollen gums). The surgery consists of removal of plaque, tarter, and bacteria from the roots of the teeth, smoothing the bone, and trimming the gums.
No one needs to know you’re straightening your teeth. Invisalign® invisible braces are the clear alternative to metal braces. It is the modern approach to straightening teeth. Using impressions of your mouth, a series of custom-made aligners or trays are fabricated to be worn over your teeth. There are no metal brackets or metal wires to be adjusted. The aligners are smooth, comfortable plastic and virtually invisible. They are easy to clean, and can be removed for eating and drinking. The aligners are worn and changed approximately every two weeks until your treatment is complete and you have achieved the new, healthy smile that you’ve always wanted.
The key benefit of dental implants over other tooth replacement systems is that an implant connects directly to the jaw bone. When a tooth is lost, bone loss will eventually occur in that region because the root is no longer stimulating and stabilizing
the bone. By using titanium–which biochemically joins to bone–to replace the root, you get a bond that more accurately replicates the one found in nature.
When you lose a tooth, especially a back tooth, you may feel you don’t need to replace it, since no one can see that it’s missing and you have plenty of other teeth. However, there is more bone loss going on under the surface once a tooth is lost. Surrounding each tooth is an alveolar bone that supports the tooth and when the tooth is lost, that bone basically melts away. This is why people who have lost most of their teeth and are not wearing dentures appear to have a caved-in appearance to their mouths.
Besides causing damage to the immediate area, tooth loss affects remaining teeth as well. Teeth create a structure for the face and their loss can shift the surrounding teeth, creating esthetic issues and bite problems. A lost tooth can also affect facial structures such as the jaw, muscles, jaw joints, and even the skin. If several teeth are lost, it’s not uncommon to suffer from social consequences and poor nutrition.
Replacing a tooth with an implant and a crown is not a one-day procedure. The implant needs time to properly adhere to the bone and create a healthy fusion before the crown can be attached and full bite force can be applied. In most cases, it will take a few months to complete the process.
White, composite fillings can cosmetically blend with the adjacent tooth much better than old metal fillings, and they also offer a number of health-related benefits. As opposed to metal fillings, tooth colored fillings are bonded to healthy tooth structure. Additionally, composite fillings are not as temperature-sensitive as metal, so they do not expand as much with heat helping avoid cracking of the tooth over time.
Crowns are long lasting restorations that are used to restore teeth that have been weakened or damaged due to decay, fracture, cracks, large fillings, root canal therapy or trauma. Crowns are popularly known as “caps”.
Veneers are a cost-effective type of cosmetic dentistry that can improve discolored, worn, chipped, or crooked teeth in your smile. Veneers are also a valuable way to protect the teeth from future problems associated with staining agents in your diet or habits. These restorations can be used to create a beautiful rejuvenated new smile!
Like most people, you may want a whiter, brighter smile. After all, a smile affects your relationships, and has a lasting impression on your self-image. When your smile is bright and beautiful, you are more likely to use it. For many patients, creating a smile that makes you feel more confident, is simply a matter of getting their teeth whitened!
Take Home Whitening System is the most popular approach for the reason that it is more affordable and allows you to whiten your teeth at your convenience—in a safe, effective, and personalized way. This utilizes a custom-made tray and prescription strength whitening gels that you will use every day. Some patients notice results in less than 2 weeks.
In-Office Power Whitening System gives you brighter smile in just one visit. This system utilizes a higher strength whitening gel and the use of a powerful Activation light to enhance the gel’s effects. Results are visible in 60 minutes or less. To prevent sensitivity issues, the system also features a desensitizing enhancer with fluoride.
Endodontic treatment or famously known as root canal treatment is one of the most feared procedures in the dental field. A root canal therapy is required to remove a painful or infected dental nerve. The procedure involves removal of the nerves from the canals within the root of the tooth. Then the root canals are thorough cleaned, shaped and disinfected to receive the specialized root canal filling material and medicated cement to seal the root canal. Thanks to today’s technology, there are many advances in dentistry that allow you to undergo a comfortable experience even when having a root canal treatment!
While we will try to do as much as we can to save your teeth, it is not always possible. Extractions are sometimes the only treatment that can be done for a tooth that has a deep stress fracture, a substantial amount of decay, or is severely broken.
Early detection oral cancer screening means early treatment and better outcomes. The test is painless, and takes less than 3 minutes. New Patients – We Make It Easy
Going to the dentist can be overwhelming, especially first-time visits.
Let us put your concerns and anxieties to rest.
What to Expect
Our goal is to make the patient experience comfortable. The dentist will perform a complete oral examination and discuss any treatment you may need. The examination can identify conditions such as tooth decay, periodontal disease, and even oral cancer. Teeth cleaning may be performed during your first visit, or might be scheduled for a follow-up visit depending on the condition of your teeth and gums. Your first appointment will take between 1–1½ hours. Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent.
What to Bring
To make your visit as pleasant and brief as possible, there are a few things you should bring with you. If you’ve had dental x-rays in the last six months, please bring them to your first appointment. If you don’t have them, plan on biting down on that little cardboard thingy. New x-rays will be taken. With just a few simple forms, we’ll ask for relevant medical history, any medications you might be taking, your dental history, and any dental insurance coverage you may have.
We encourage regular checkups for individuals age two and up. Most people find that it is valuable to have a checkup at least every six months so your Dentist can:
Check for problems that you might not see or feel
Find early signs of decay and gum disease
Treat oral health problems early, while they are still manageable
Regular checkups include a thorough cleaning, polishing, and an oral exam by the doctor. During the oral exam, your Dentist checks the health of your mouth, teeth, gums, cheeks, and tongue. At each visit, your Dentist will check old fillings and restorations because constant pressure from chewing, grinding, or clenching can cause them to wear away, chip, or crack.
Regular checkup appointments typically take 30 to 60 minutes. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately.

All Dental insurance plans are differnet. Some policies cover only a small percentage of fees, while others cover 50 percent or greater. The more you or your employer pays for premiums, the better the coverage, in most cases.
For the most part, dental insurance covers preventive procedures, including annual X-rays, two cleanings and checkups per year, and fluoride treatments at 100 percent. Restorative care, such as fillings, crowns, replacement teeth, orthodontics, etc. are partially covered.
Cosmetic treatment is not covered. To help with this problem, we work with patients to figure out the best financing options and we offer CareCredit and Chase Health Advance financing.
Most dental insurances also carry a “missing tooth clause.” The clause states that your insurance will not pay for replacement of a tooth or teeth that were missing before your policy began.
Your benefits are probably based on “usual, customary, and reasonable fees.” These fees may not accurately reflect the cost of our services. We are not a clinic, and we offer many luxuries and technologies to make your dental care experience comfortable. We invest time with each of our patients. To us, you are a person, not a number or a chart. Our dentists and our team invest in more continuing education than is required so that To help with this problem, we work with patients to figure out the best financing options and we offer CareCredit and Chase Health Advance financing.
Your “yearly maximum” is the amount your insurance company will pay in a calendar year. Usually, the amount is $1000-1500. If you do not use all of your yearly maximum before December 31st, you lose it. Each new calendar year, your maximum will fund again.
If you have dental insurance, we will tell you your estimated portion before we treat you. Don’t worry about surprises! Please be prepared to pay your portion at your visit unless prior payment arrangements have been agreed upon.
If your insurance provider does not pay their estimated portion, we will bill you for the balance. However, our insurance specialist will provide all paperwork, charts, X-rays, and photos necessary to optimize your benefits.
